The combination of these two main characteristics results in four major categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL):<\/strong> This type, which is more commonly seen during childhood but may also occur in adults, begins with the rapid multiplication of immature lymphoid cells.
