These changes often go unnoticed when other tests, such as fundus examination, are performed.<\/li>\n<li>It does not require direct contact with the eye, so no anesthesia is applied.<\/li>\n<li>It does not cause discomfort to the patient; only in some cases are the typical lights or flashes produced by the device used to obtain images.<\/li>\n<li>It does not require any prior preparation unless pupil dilation is necessary (and sometimes it may not be).
